Fractional operations. A senior operator running your systems, month to month.

Most fractional ops people run the systems you have. I build the ones you should have, run them, and train your team to own them — and you can stop paying me when they do.

45 minutes, at no cost. It's the first step for every engagement, including this one.

Build first. Then run. Then hand off.

Running a broken system well is still running a broken system. So the order is fixed: before I take over the monthly work, I build or repair whatever that work depends on — the close, the pipeline, the reporting, the documentation. Then I run it. And the whole time, I'm writing it down and training whoever you name to own it.

That's the part most retainers leave out. The goal isn't to be needed. It's for your team to be able to take the keys whenever you decide they should — and for you to stop paying me when they do. Some founders get there in a few months. Some would rather I keep running it. Both are fine.

Four things, every month.

  1. 01Monthly investor reporting.

Your monthly metrics update — burn, CAC, LTV, runway — prepared from your systems, using metric definitions we agree up front. Those are systems I run, so the reconciliations behind the numbers are part of the month's work, not somebody else's problem.

  2. 02System integrity maintenance.

A monthly review of the controls, data flows, SOPs, and documentation we've agreed to watch. Where a configuration or a process has drifted, I fix it and tell you what drifted.

  3. 03One strategic workstream at a time.

From a backlog we keep together — a hiring plan, an HRIS selection, a vendor management process. One at a time, finished before the next one starts.

  4. 04Tactical support.

Up to five hours a month for the quick fixes and small changes that come up.

Month to month. Thirty days' notice, either way. I run the operations that produce your numbers; your accountant still owns the books, tax, and any audit.

I do the work. That's the constraint.

There's no team behind this page. The person who builds your systems is the person who runs them — that's the point — and it means I keep a limited number of retained companies at any one time, so each one gets the attention it's paying for. If I'm full, I'll tell you when a seat opens rather than take you on and under-deliver.

You can start here.

You don't need a prior build to start on a retainer. Some founders arrive here after an Infrastructure Assessment; plenty start directly. Either way, the first step is the same: a 45-minute Operations Review, at no cost, so we both know where your operations stand before either of us commits to anything.
